    Here we go again:D

Basicaly the car started running really rough and miss firing, we took into the [a different one to normal] garage, they said the plugs were really old and severely warn and had not been replaced for years (so what did our old garage do when they said they replaced them?), they said there was hardly any oil in the engine but no sign of any wear causing it, the ECU sensor temp has gone, the lamda has gone and it needs new HT leads, even though we had them replaced a year ago. They said the HT leads were very old and gave me back the HT lead and said I was welcome to put a meter on it.

Either way the car was serviced in October and its now mis firing so somthing there was somthing that hasn't been done right:confused:

I know the old garage bodged the MOT which is why we stopped using them, so it wouldn't surprised me if they lied about the plugs and put second hand HT leads on.

Either way the new garage reckons it will cost around £150-£170 to fix a leak, put a new lamda sensor in, change the ECU sensor, change the oil, put new HT leads in and change the plugs.

He said the Lamda was between £30-£50 but the last time I checked they were about £60 for the proper one, £30 for an OEM one which requires a lot of soldering.

It seems very cheap but I suppose may have found an honest garage at last.
