My housemate wants a DVD player under £50. Anything to look out for or pointers to some bargains appreciated....can get a Yamaha thing off Amazon for £30 which is looking good to her at the moment.
    Cheers

Put this on HFC as well:

    Hi,

If your housemate could stretch to £60, Richer sounds have the Pioneer DV360, I have the DV-444 and am very impressed.

If not, unbeatable have the Toshiba SD230 for £50, if its anything like the 330 it should be good:

The £50 one on Amazon is a Yamada player - a cheap rip-off of Yamaha, methinks ;)

I'll second Andrew's recommendation for the Pioneer - I've got the DV-350 and it's been excellent so far.
