I have just ordered the E-MU 0404 Soundcard so that I can connect the PC to either a headphone amp (Headsave Classic or Derek_Shek cMoy) or to my NAD amplifier.

It would appear that the analogue breakout cables supplied with the card can be bettered by purchasing shielded ones, any recommendations?

So far I have been checking the 0404 breakout cables on the "Fid-Audio" website:-

    Is anyone using these?

Is there any point in using the digital breakouts on the card and connecting to a NosDAC or is this just a pointless exercise due to the card having its own onboard DAC?

Basically I only want the soundcard for transferring decent sound from the computer to my amplifier or headphone amp.

Thanks for the link Paul. After reading the thread I have placed an order for the interconnect version plus the additional input.
