ear / yoshino loudspeaker

    What are people's view on the new speaker from ear/ yoshino ?

    it uses a horn tweeter and I'm not sure what midrange drive unit, but the arrangement is far from conventional to say the least.

    It looks like the speakers Tim used in his room at Heathrow driven by his monstrous SS monoblocks. I was unimpressed by the sound to say the least.
    That did not deter me from buying his preamp and thinking about his new 834T though. :)

    it sounded dry and flat to me, the sound was rather small for the room, there was a big noisy crowd on top of that and it all looked like the baron had made no attempt really, I thought "what a strange choice of speakers" :))) Well I do not guarantee that it was the same speakers but they look very much the same.
    And TBH I was more attracted to his amps - sorry for off-topic - has anyone listened to his 834T hybrid?

    Exterminate ..........look like darlek clones. As to the sound , I can't comment as I have not head them. Design wise the don't appear that radical, she who must be obeyed wouldn't give them house room though !
