Good grief - although I'd only loosely call the 1200 'HiFi', as it is more at home in clubland. However, perhaps there is hope - I thought Alba midi systems were the most they aspired to on Eastenders :D

I wonder if those headphones will be Sony CD3000's :D

Nah, actually they'll probably buy some Sony MDR-VCRAPs instead.

It's always struck me as a bit odd that the Ferreiras have two hi-fi's at opposite ends of the same room i.e. an oldish midi system sat on top of a chest of drawers and a newer micro system thingy in a freestanding shelf unit in their living room. :)

There's a family with the surname Ferreira in EastEnders (I don't watch it) ?

    That's a Portuguese name that is :)

A family in Eastenders with a Portuguese name and with taste (I don't watch it)?

I thought it was just a soap documenting the stupefying miseries of Londoners.

...not since that billiard ball (Mitchell) moved out there's not.

Has Ian still got that first generation Philips CD midi system (1985) that Colin and Barry used to have??? My mate Bod has the exact same system and it sounds fairly OK for what it is - could rock out with Soundgarden and wasn't harsh. Only 3 of the LED figures on the display worked though :)
