Hi this is my first post and I was wondering if anyone has heard of or owns this player. It is getting very favourable reviews and is outperforming other players many times its price. You can buy it from Cattylink which is in China. Has any body dealt with them. Thank you.

If you do a search of this forum you'll find references to the player. I have one, and I'm continually amazed at its performance.

I have one too, and can also vouch for its performance. A £450 spinner that belongs in the £2k bracket. Sublime stuff.

They have an excellent reputation and you should feel completely safe dealing with them. Bear in mind that its chinese new year, and they might not be answering their e-mails for the next two weeks however

How much is it delivered in uk? Am tempted if its as good as people say. I dislike a bright sound, so would it suit?

Its certainly not bright - however, it is very revealing. If you spin something like Madonna's new album, you'll know that it was mastered in pro-tools, by a graduate trainee on his lunch break.

hifikrazy, it should cost about £450-£475 from cattylink. Snowy usually throws in some goodies for free too - interconnects or even granite slabs (!). Even if for some bizarre reason you don't like it, you won't loose much money on it. The last two on eBay went for £410 & £450.

I bought it from a guy whose main spinner was a brand new $25k Accuphase two-boxer, and he said there was very little between the two!

That's the one that jumped out at me too. I dont know anyone who's tried one, but seems to have potential IMO.

Yeah, I think Snowy declares a very conservative value on the customs form ;-)

Don't worry though - if it goes missing, he'll replace it.

As I've said before, absolute no-brainer for the money IMO.
