Be warned that item no. 230138610143 is a fraud. It's Maplin silver screened cable (part no. CC23A) and not Valhalla (and looks nothing like Valhalla although the Eichmann plugs are a nice touch!).

Keep your wallet in your pocket!

Thanks for the heads up ....assume your 100% familiar with the cables..?

the black heat shrink and eichmanns certainly don't look right...but the cable may be .....?

I'm familiar with cc23a in fact I've some in front of me the weave is not the same a pictured in the ebay add ....

here's a pic of the maplin cable

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ITAG=SPEC&ModuleNo=6227&doy=5m6#spec

Can you buy a reel of cable from nordost ?

    the add also says ....

The cables were originally a longer cable which has been cut down and professionally re-terminated, using the highest quality lead-free, silver solder.

I've compared these to a factory terminated Nordost Valhalla and I could determine no audible differences, they sound identical.

So confident am I regarding the re-termination and sound quality of this cable ...etc etc

So I'm saying you need to be very certain before you say the f word...

I would not like to say either way ....but thats not defending the iitem either !

The picture from the Nordost web page above just shows the grey heat shrink, so it's a little misleading.

Valhalla Digital looks like this... [IMG]

So I would certainly be very careful before calling people fraudsters :/

Indeed, looks like normal digital Valhalla to me, just reterminated.
He has 100% feedback off 299 sales, the listing is the same format as his old sales (so not a hijack).
Infact nothing on that sale says scam / fraud to me.

What it just dosen't say is not terminated by nordost....
