This has to be one of the nicest weather days I've ever seen up here in Newcastle today, and lucky me gets to go out on site, so plenty of driving around with the windows down, sunroof open. Not a cloud in the sky, a very slight breeze, and not too humid...

For the first time I am sunburned in this country... that has never happenned before

Whats it like where you are?

I don't really tan but get sunburn easily... I got very badly burnt in Guernsey about 4 years ago, my back has slight scarring now.

I got horribly sunburned near Alicante many years ago, having fallen asleep on the beach. Once was enough; now I keep in the shade and/or plaster myself with suncream.

    Hotter'n Hell.

I read in the paper that the temperature on parts of the London Underground reached the equivalent of 116f yesterday. I'm going there on Monday so let's hope it's cooled off a bit by then.

I've been sunburned loads in this country.... In fact, I've not been sunburned much in much sunnier places because there (eg Seychelles, Mojave Desert, Zimbabwean High Veld, etc) you know it's sunny and put suncream on, whereas in the UK most of the time it's not sunny enough so we're not so well prepared for it.

Oh, and as to what it's like here? Bloody gorgeous... will be out for a ride this afternoon!

    Hi,

Another fine day in Sheffield. It has been like this for days. I hope it stays like this.

Went to Greece at the start of last week. Weather here was wet and mildly warm (weather in Greece was great!). Came back on Sunday to el scorchio and it's been the same every day since then!

El scorchio during the day is fine and I prefer it to wet, wind, snow etc, but I would prefer it to be a bit cooler at night - can't have everything I suppose!
