I loved mine. Dark and warm with lovely bass and expansive sound.

If you want to google it, you need to spell it "Electrocompaniet", -et being the ending meaning "the".

    Hi Ocean

I have a EC 4.6 pre and had a AW 100 dmb. I lived with these for at least 2-3 yrs and they are bloody good for the money. I still have the pre but now have a 300b set instead of the power.

My listening habit changed with the birth of our daughter (now late night low volume). The Electocompaniets are pretty close to good valves in their warmth, but have a real bottom end grip (power amp was able to deliver 80 amp current).

I have heard some people describe them as being a bit boring/dark - mainly those that come from naim. I never found this to be the case. YMMV.

    EC4.7 (superb!)
    AWB120 IIRC.

The Electrocompaniet EC 4.7 is a high resolution, high performance, DC coupled and fully balanced, remote controlled preamplifier. EC 4.7 has six single ended inputs, where one is fully balanced. The AWB120 Power is a dual Mono/Balanced Power Amplifier - a perfect match to the pre. Check out audioreview for other peoples comments: http://www.audioreview.com/Electrocompaniet/MCL_639crx.aspx

I moved to a digital amp and regret it too!
