New music discovery of the year: Pelt

Best hi-fi purchase of the year: ATC CA2 preamp

Least Deranged Forumite award: tones, the voice of reason

Most Deranged Forumite award: WM (that was a close one, he had strong competition this year, but the ERS dishcloth won it for him)

Most amusing poster: Shared between Bub (on his good days) and amazingtrade

"Where are they now?" Most Missed Poster award: johnhunt

Best record: The Fiery Furnaces, Gallowsbird's Bark. Simply the most exciting, inventive and downright tuneful new music I have heard in a long, long time. Think of a collison between the Fall and the Carpenters and you're halfway there.

New music: as above.

Movies: City of God, About Schmidt, Adaptation, Far from Heaven, Kill Bill.

Hi-fi purchase: Rotel RCD-02, and banana plugs that fit.

Least deranged forumite: me, of course.

Most deranged: everyone else.

Funniest post: that one about the BMW lane on the motorways. Oh, and PBirkett's cunnilingus confessions.

 

"Kermit" - wonder what he's up to these days - haven't seen a post from him for months now - always had something interesting to say and nice guy too...

 

I was wondering where Kermit was aswell...
