    Hi,

Can any one advise me the Entech Numbers Cruncher DAC is suitable for use with our 240 volt mains supply?

I think this is an American made device.

I would like to buy one but don't want it to blow up if its designed for use with 115v (which I think is the American mains supply)!

    Can any one help?

    thanks very much,

    David

i had the 205.2 (which was a 3 input device compared to the single input 203.2) and Dev has it now. It used an outboard wallwart mains adaptor if I remember correctly.

    Indeed I have Rory:).

According to the label on the "wallwart" mains adapter, it has an AC output of 16V/650mA, so shouldn't be too hard to find. WM built a PSU for it to replace the standard unit, I took the cover off to confirm it consists of just a step down transformer, so shouldn't be too difficult to source. Hopefully WM can provide more info if he can remember that far back:).

    Hello,

    Many thanks!

I'm trying to source a psu from Maplins (or other). It could be useful to know if the Entech runs at 50 or 60hz? Can you help with that?

Also do know if the plug into the back a standard fit?

    Thanks very much!

    Hello again,

Not to worry about the previous note - I've discovered step up transformers are quite easy to get hold of. Just hope it all works!

    Many thanks for your help.
