    Hi,

Looks a bit like the JBE turntable from the 70s.

I wonder if it is an offshoot from it?

Don't know if you're still interested in info. on the record deck you posted a year ago (did it work?). It was produced by JB Manufacturing Acoustics & Design Ltd, High Street, Northallerton, North Yorks. - no idea if they still exist in any form. It appears in the 1978 Hi-Fi Year Book at £124.35 with a basic arm. This was a lot of money, even though you could spend a lot more - Bang & Olufsen went up to £400, and a Gale2101 an eye-watering £1195! (all plus VAT) An interesting year, given the intro. to the book - 'The economic crisis continues to hit the Hi-Fi trade with constant hammer blows, although the reduction in VAT duty eased the pain a little.' Amazing how things change so little! Sorry, I ramble.
