Epayers beware

    Dunno if you noted the pass X2.5 preamp on there,last nignt, but I agreed a deal ......then got a mail asking for payment via bank transfer
    I said that although its a 8 hour round trip to Bristol I,ll pay cash and collect.......get this..,,, he then mails me saying that the pre amp is in Indonesia and have I get a friend who can collect??????

    unreal.......... er needless to say , I told him to **** off and not waist my time.......


    Also not hifi related but I won the auction for a Yamaha quad at a good price, got a mail asking for £1500 up front and the balance of £700 when its delvered to Southhampton..........

    A : the winning bid was £1500

    B: the seller was suposed to be in Walsall

    Wankers........

    Old sayin , if its too good to be true .......it prob is

    I once bidded on a Audio Research,next day i get a e-mail from a guy saying he was in Madrid,so i sent him a E-mail in spanish,saying i would like to see it first,never heard from him again.:D

    Kev, the pass is good, Henry T uses one with his dcs combo as the pet-tec is quite similar I reckon they should be a decent match, nice build as well, very good voicing too. T.

    Hi Kev,

    Sorry to hear about the X2.5 deal falling through.

    FYI, I have an Aleph P (not an X2). The X2 series pre amps are the equivalent replacements for the Aleph P, so far as price is concerned anyway. Obviously as you know with the X2 you lose out on the remote that you would have got with an X2.5.

    I like the Aleph P a lot and I'm sure the X series stuff is very much in the same vein, so on that basis comes highly recommended from here. £750 for an X2 is very good value indeed, if you can manage without the remote.

    Nelson Pass is definitely one of the good guys. Doesn't help you with EBay ripoffs though...
