Too early, all the needles will have dropped off by christmas if you do it now. That, and IMO christmas should be confined to the last two weeks of december. I hate this starting the build up in october that seems commonplace now.

my missus usually takes care of the erection at our place, she's very hands-on in that respect. But i cant see it happening just yet as theres nothing worse than erecting too soon and having everything go droopy and limp before the climax of the big day.

Traditionally they should go up on Christmas Eve and come down on Twelfth Night but I suspect no one does that anymore.

We have had a bit of a tradition in our house where me and my lad go out and choose/cut down the tree on 10th of December which is his birthday. I then usually leave it in a bucket of water for a day or two whilst my wife nags me to get it up ( ;) ).

On Christmas tree erecting night much exitement as we decide which route to take to minimise the needle trail into the house. Then the joy of mounting it in the plastic Christmas tree holder which i bought in Santa's Grotto shop in a small town called North Pole, Alaska and then lugged back to the UK, - (in July 1994 ! Tenth anniversary :D ). Even though i struggle with it every year , due to its crap design. I'm always determined to use it ( Men eh ! ) . The following comments happen every year on or about the 11th December.

Kids: " Oh no ! Dads gone to the shed to get his Xmas tree holder"
Wife: " No shouting or swearing, it's christmas and I'm not going to help you put it up if you shout and swear at the tree or me"

The rest is history really although it involves, shouting, swearing, blood, sweat, tears, sticky pine tree sap and needles everywhere, oh yeah and putting some form of physical barrier around the bottom of the tree to stop the dog pissing on it.

The joys of Christmas tree day.....

So am I the only one who gets it up 3 weeks before the big day?

I usually maintain my erection right through Xmas and on to twelfth night :)

And what's more, I don't have bits dropping off of it :D

I like to decorate my erection with chocolate and let all my friends have a nibble ;)

Mine doesn't need chemicals to stay up. It spends all year resting and then round about now I just get it out and it's erect in seconds

Takes hours to tie on all the chocolates though
