etymotics er6i still rated?

    i need some new isolating earphones for use on the train - strong isolation being absolutely key for me as I can't stand the endless moronic witterings of the Ipswich insurance brigade and the daytrippers on mobile phones...

    are the Etymotic er6i's any good? I've heard mixed reviews about the bass (which is a problem on my current Sony ummm mdc72 ec (or something like that.)

    they are fine phones. no problem with the bass as long as you arent into big overblown bass!

    I'd buy them from here or Amazon has them at a good price too.
