He has replaced the internal wiring, capacitors and resistors with top quality stuff. Having heard the speakers before and after the mods, the sound is considerably better post modification.

    Cheers, Robbo

I,m not particularly up on the tech stuff re speakers
In fact I didnt know, and still not 100% sure what he did other than rewire with some nice silver wire, if you know tone he likes to tease :D :D ....anyway they sound bloody good.
I bought these as a stop gap untill my friend became bored with his Pro-ac ref 3.8's.......these are now up for grab's so that's the reason these are up for sale

£875............. but I must move quickly

Never really had a lack of bass problem with the gr 20's kev, problem may lie with amplication/room/transport, though the proac's destroyed my room, hence why I sold them.
Ok the GR'20's have 'M' caps through out top spec foil & film substanicaly better than stock, all resistors replaced with caddock 1%'s, and hard wired with top spec 2mm solid silver wire.
A serious improvement over stock. There really do sing and for the cash, a very fair price. Wm

Tone Have tried them at my house, but with my old avi stuff my room is 18X27 so they do not dominate the room
would'nt call the lack of base a problem as such, just a characteristic of the combination's I,ve been using.....as we disgusted before
I,m not into "lets rock the house"base
I,d be quite happly to keep GR20's but I liked the pro-acs from day1 as I said sometime before xmas, If a pair come up at the right money I,d get them
