    Description

You are bidding on a mint condition TEAC VRDS-25 CD player. This must be one of the best, affordable CD players ever built. It originally cost about £1300, but can be yours for a fraction of that. Through my Denon amplifier and Rogers Studio 1 speakers it sounds fabulous. I have the box, instructions and remote-control, all in excellent condition.

The VRDS-25 shares its mechanism with other giants of the CD world, including Wadia. This is an integrated CD player, but can be used as a transport if needed. It has L/R audio, L/R Balanced audio, SP-DIF and TOSLink outputs. The mains lead is standard IEC, and the unit can be switched between 110/120V and 230/240V AC input. The casework is extremely solidly built, and weighs about 16Kg.

Note - As with all VRDS units, it likes to be warm, loved, and fed with original, commercial CDs. It will play CDRs, but only if burnt at low speed. Apparently the reflectivity of the CDR has a bearing on playability too.
