American Dad is excellent, as good as Family Guy IMHO.

Always thought Futurama was far superior? Always? Not sure about that myself.

I can still watch an episode of the Simpsons that I've seen 20 times before, and will still laugh at parts. I agree it's lot its edge a bit over the last couple of years.

I didn't used to really care much for Futurama when it started, but laugh along with it regularly now.

With American Dad, I've watched about 5 episodes so far and enjoyed them. It's not a risky as family guy, but well worth watching.

American Dad is more political and only 90% as funny FamGuy - all IMO of course.

About time the brits come out with a corker. Wallace and Gromit (as good as it is) is a whole different genre.

All this cartoon talk got my thinking about Ren and Stimpy!

There seems to be several DVDs out, but quite heavily edited and imcomplete, but there's talk of a ultimate type collection with everything. Now that's something I'd like to own :)

Ren and Stimpy rocks. Genndy Tarkowski (I forget his name and I cannot be arsed to google it) - a genius.

I like the Simpsons but the latest series has not been up to par. I'm a big Futurama fan - Bender is an absolutely classic character. Apparently sexy cyclops Leela is voiced by the actress who plays the mother in 8 Simple Rules (again not a bad sitcom and when the lead actor actually died after the first series they managed to build it into the plot  ).

Leela is one sexy mama. So is Amy.

Has anyone heard any info on the FUTURAMA films? One is due to be released in 2007?

Ren and Stimpy. Great stuff. I think a complete collection of that would be well worth having. I think I looked for a DVD before but didn't have any joy....happy happy joy joy!

Spongebob is pretty good aswell by the way!

I'm completely bored of the Simpsons now. I think King of the Hill, American Dad and Family Guy are far better although obviously don't quite have the same all inclusive appeal the Simpsons has.

    Anyone seen the trailers?

Can't help but think it will be a let down, but it does look quite funny!

I was absolutely obsessed with R&S. The first series was superbly subversive. I recorded about 70% on VHS, but then found a dude on eBay who had all episodes on VHS which he'd transferred to 4 DVDs, so I think I have all R&S output albeit not great quality. Also managed to get a sealed #1 R&S comic book.

My favourite episode - Ren's cousin Sven comes to stay who looks exactly like Stimpy, but Ren coloured with a little hat. Ren goes out to work and they mess the place up, play "Don't Wizz on the Electric Fence". When Ren gets back he loses the plot - gets very dark and sinister.

My kids love it, regardless of the poor picture/sound. They sat through 10 episodes straight and complained when it was time for dinner.

"Billy and Mandy" is clearly inspired by R&S and is actually very funny, though not quite as subversive.
