.....and what would your opnion be SM?

I can't prove or disprove petes observation but would say that his knowledge for his subject is deep, thorough and generally pretty reliable.

    Its certainly worked for me.

    Thanks for that MT.

Don't worry, the benefits of these experiments never fail to amaze me.....even when perhapts I should be accustomed to the gains to be made.

FWIW...my uncle WAS into hifi, I was asking him about this a year or two ago; his opnion ws that he could see the reason for vibration control with his lP2 but not with a cdp...therefore he just uses a standard suppot...without spikes.

I often wonder what gains could be made with this system if you put your mind to it.

He made the point that there are a lot of people out there fleecing people for cables etc .....+ also gimmicky tat.

This is true but there are also (IMO) very useable products (at sensible prices) such as petes (zanash's) cables which I think offer a very good value up grade.

The greedy people spoil it for others.

    Sorry, a bit of a hobby horse.....

....then we'll have to agree to differ!

( Just thinking about this....had you said "I am sceptical about the information in that link"......would (for me ) have been slightly more plausible than "complete manure"...isn't hat a bit sweeping??)

I don't have an opinion.I have a fact. And the fact is the poster could not be any further removed from the truth if he tried - his post is complete and utter bollox.

I grow very tired of having to correct disinformation from people posing as knowledgable yet who turn out to be anything but.

Torlyte is a honeycomb matrix made from a balsa type material whose main qualities are that it is both very stiff and very light. It also benefits from a large panel surface having it's resonances broken up by the honeycomb structure which raises any resonances frequency considerably. The balsa like material is also self damping to a degree.

As for how it sounds I'll leave that to you guys fertile imagination and flowery vocabularies. MDF my arse!

Stillpoints and Ceraballs improve the sound used under CD/DVD players, all that I tested, and under some pre/pro too, not mine though...

Soundcare didnt "work" with electronic gear in my system, but did very well under the subwoofers and speaker stands...

Of course. It's my ears. Yours are so much better. I forgot Antonio.

I'll try to demonstrate the complete lack of a difference to Ian later today and see if his ears are shot too.

Why does it always have to come down to personal insults with you Antonio?

    Let's get this straight here.

I posted that Stillpoints made no difference at all used under my CD player, and you replied by insulting me.

    Then you call me childish.

In another thread, a discussion that had nothing to do with you was interrupted by your classic "get a life" post.

If I comment on your posts Antonio it is because you are wrong and look stupid - the last example being about horn loaded monitors. What's more I can usually prove you are wrong, at which point the childish name calling begins.

And again you call me childish.

I'll leave that with the mods.

Absolutely not - this didn't take long and it was a great team effort. We now have a cracking team here of top civil servants, buddhist monks, think tank minds from MOD and elsewhere, (and Stephen Fry), all working at full pelt in the interests of protecting us from vitriolic, rude and abusive, inflexible, compulsive obsessive pompous so called experts who are deluded that they are protecting those of us that enjoy our hobby, like to experiment and think it's fun to enjoy our music.

Oh, and like to take the trouble of sharing what we find with others - though this is now damned as advertising LOL!
