Cheers for the info. Just installed it over the top of my 0.9 install. I like the new default theme.

Installed it over my 0.9 install earlier today and was still getting the irritating "Updates are available" popup and the little "1" in the bottom right corner of the status bar, telling me updates are available (double click the 1 and you'll see what I mean).

So, I decided to uninstall totally and then re-install. No joy - still thinks there are updates available (0.9.1) when I'm already on 0.9.1

It kept my Qute theme (way better than the default) and my other extensions though :)

    Michael.

If you do Help -> about what does it show, mine shows :-

    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040626 Firefox/0.9.1

I've not got the update issue, but it could be down to the update server timing out

Odd, when I do Help > About Mozilla Firefox I get the following, and I've run the 0.9.1 installer.

    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040626 Firefox/0.5 StumbleUpon/1.63

That was the first thing I checked. Strange. It's getting quite annoying though. Might have to drag myself onto the Firefox forums to see if anyone else has the same issue.

I tried it, and while I quite liked it, I didn't like the fact that any bookmarks stored on it disappeared, not once but twice - even the ones imported from Internet Explorer. Being a total computer ignoramus, I don't know why, but having put a few on it, I was irked to have to do it again. As a result, back to IE - it's slower, but it doesn't dump bookmarks.

OK - the "constantly reminding you to update when you already have" bug has been fixed now. See here.

Tones - I've never had a problem with bookmarks disappearing, that's very odd. The bookmark icons (that are picked up from favicon.ico on a web page) occasionally reset themselves but IE doesn't even pick these up at all!

Michael, if there's a flaw in a computer program, I shall always find it. It's just a natural talent (or a complete lack thereof). It might be something the girls do on the computer, but they use only IE for the Internet.

For those who feel like the "Options" dialog of FireFox doesn't give them enough control, type "about:config" into the address bar....enjoy :)

Be careful what you change there though....
