I've got a week off in August to go somewhere warm. Anyone got any tips/recommendations/experiences on a cheap destination that I can fly to out of Cardiff? A nice city near the coast ideally. Cheers,
    HM

I'm after the same for next week...looks like I'll be touring the uk and some of it's camp sites, b&bs and friends gaffs...but 7-10 days in the sun would be nicer tho!

Well I have to suggest it, Portugal  . There are some very nice places in the Algarve if you avoid Albufeira and the other horrendous tourist traps. Otherwise the whole of the Portuguese West (Atlantic) Coast is very nice, particularly the Southern half, allthough the water is colder than in the Algarve.

There must be charter flights from Cardiff to Faro (which is in the Algarve).

Cheers guys some nice suggestions, having looked at the prices I might stay in good old GB for a bit and then go away when its a bit cheaper. Damn powers that be, got to take your holiday when they tell you to.
Might save some of those ideas for the autumn though :)
