You realise of course that all these petitions can be created by anyone who can be arsed to write one out and provide an email address? Have you read any of the others? There are loads of total rants, I have a sneaking suspicion that the whole thing is a bit pointless, and perhaps some of these new 'taxes' against the motorist may be entirely in the mind of some nutcase and not under review by Government.....

    I agree with la toilette.
I think the complete .gov petition site is purely there for people to let off steam, and the gullible to think it may be acted on.

Unless you get millions of signatures no one will, or should, take any notice.

well it's up to 400,000 and if you don't voice an opinion, then you know the rest.

Having just read 'Manufacturing Consent' by Noam Chomsky i'm all for getting 'my' point of view across.

Voice all you want, do you really think anyone in government will pay any attention to this poll?

Already done this quite a while back. Come on, anyone who hasn't done this, who has an active interest in not having their wallet raped for futile causes should be signing this.

What is wrong with this tax? If it's not road tolls or similar it'll be on fuel - what's the diifference. The tax drawn will be the same. I supppose theer is a civil liberties auguement but that's it.
