FS: Fantastic UK built Rothwell Valve power amp - bargain

Having a clear out and sort out - this is a rare UK Valve bargain for someone. I have a superb Rothwell Rubicon valve power amp. This power amp showed that valve amps can be detailed, accurate and produce tight bass, and impressed Paul Messenger enough to be awarded Best Buy status in Hi-Fi Choice . Low on power at 8 watts but fairly musical for all that. Good resolution of detail and texture. It was just under a £1000 new and it is one of the few lower priced amps that has ever really impressed me. In excellent near mint condition it is also the last model that Rothwell made and has a badge to certify it 2004! EL84 based. Have pix.

Afraid I am short on technical spec but have e mailed Rothwell for some info. I bought it to replace a Krell whilst waiting on arrival of a new amp that went missing.

Only 8 Watts but it sounds like 50 watts - it has driven my Quad ESL63's without any problem, a pair of QLN's and various Sonus Fabers. Prefer not to sell it but it's too good to sit in a cupboard.

The good news - well I am almost giving it away. :D

NEW LOW PRICE TO MOVE ON - REAL SILLY BARGAIN NOW

£299 plus postage at cost - probably £20 insured. PM if you'd like it.
