This is a seriously good opportunity to get a really well sorted pair of these. They have upgraded crossovers designed and built by Bob Crines (Serious Klipsch guru) You'll find pictures of them on Ebay USA, they're on beautiful pieces of American maple. They've also had new mid range drivers, as one was slightly faulty. I will however throw in the old pair. One cab has a small knock on the corner, but I've refinished them in Danish oil and wax. They are as good looking as these speakers can be. A cracking introduction to horns. I've spent over a £1000 on these

Not a sniff anywhere, so I'll try them at a ridiculously low price. These are Horns that will blow your socks off, but don't takeover your room. They're worth well more than this!

    £350!!

Some pics I was about to post!

No, they're designed to have floor and wall reinforcement. The risers point them up a bit. Works amazingly well. Mind you if do sit on the floor in front of them, the imaging is absolutely amazing!

I sit on the floor til my lower back gives out listening to my Chatsworths. I ask myself the question, is a beanbag really naff?

If you do as Richard suggests you dont only get soundstage, you can acheive an almost unbelieveable holographic effect.

I had to stand up I thought I was havin a funny turn ;)

I'd most probably want to put them on short wide stands.

Dev, I'd be grateful if you could post your impressions once you've had a good listen to these. I've got a pair of Klipsch La Scalas (basically the big brothers of these, but with horn bass).

Imagery is pretty good, but I certainly wouldn't call it holographic. Admittedly, I'm sitting far too close to them - big speakers, not so big room - so I'd be intrigued to hear how you get on with these 'mini-horns'.

BTW, reservations about holography aside, I do like my La Scalas :)

I'll try. I'm not much of a reviewer I'm afraid.

BTW, I don't know how long it'll be before I get them. We haven't sorted out the logistics and I'm certainly not in a rush.

Well Dev if you get them and don't like them then put me top of the list for next possible owner. £350 sounds like a bargain to me and like yourself I've always wondered what they were like and fancied getting hold of a pair. Bit miffed I didn't spot Lordsummit's ad before you, goddammit.

Heresys are really good fun things, I've got a pair of very late MkIs in my TV room system.

    Tony.

(who'd love a pair of LaScalas)
