    Excellent valve preamp, warm side of neutral, very detailed & rhythmic, large soundstage, very rare, £1400 new late nineties, cherry wood front, point to point wiring, separate power supply, Mullard ECC88 fitted & spare valves, recent service by Paul Hynes, FS @ £350 - pickup London or courier.

    PM with your email for some pics. incl internals, you could try www.paulhynesdesign.com , & google paul hynes for some info - this is a rare custom built amp built by request by paul hynes - obscure high end british hifi!

    anyone heard it (apart from the owner).... would be good to hear some thoughs on how it sounds... ECC88 preamps can be very dry sounding and system dependant a bit more than usual... but at the same time some of the best i heard were with ECC88

    Hi Gordan - haven't heard this pre but Hymes kit is excellent. I have the Paul Hymes phono stage - it is very good indeed - very detailed, engaging - usual stuff, infact the best phono stage I have had in y system beyond the Groove for eg - outstanding component specification.

    What's Belgrade like near Xmas, we are looking for somewhere to visit!?
