What songs would you want played at your funeral?

    Mine would probably be

    1. Love Will Tear Us Apart - Joy Division
    2. Don't Forget to Remember Me - Bee Gee's
    3. Sound of Silence - Simon and Garfunkel
    4. There is a light that never goes out - Smiths [I think this a perfect song for a funeral]

Then as people leave the church JD's Attompshere will be played with a vidoe projected of different parts of my life.

jerusalem -emmerson lake and palmer,as the guests enter

10 seconds of forever/brainstorm - hawkwind just as the curtains are closing

ring of fire - frank zappa, straight in and loud, 5 seconds after the curtains have closed

Peter Sellers was played "In the mood" because his friends knew he hated that yaka-daka-yaka-daka-daka-da-daaaa sound

heard of a pair of daughters who changed the music for the funeral of their mother. the daughters hadn't spoken to their mother for years after a massive fall out.

the replacement music was "Ding, Dong, the witch is dead".

it's probably an urban legend, but :D nonetheless.

Thats what happens when you attend two funerals of close relatives in three months. Just got back from my uncles, I've been in a car for 8 hours today. (he lived 130 miles away and my mum won;t go on motorways!).

I'll be dead. So, whatever those who have to go through the process of organizing it should choose.

Was having a discussion about this earlier with a girl I know   she wanted to be cremated and have Disco Inferno or Great Balls of Fire played! If I was buried I'd hope playin Alice in Chains - Down in a hole, or Jamiroquai - Deeper Underground as the coffin is lowered might provoke a bit of a laugh amongst a few of the assembled :D
