Certainly, it sounds like there was something wrong, somewhere. Anyway, that's all behind you now.

    The Aro is OK.

Was never a fan of the LP12, but recently heard one with latest spec and Akiva and yes it was more to my taste than other LP12's I have heard. Surprised me!!

perhaps James, the LP12 I heard was the latest linn spec, circus, etc lingo2 with ekos and akiva, into a whest PS feeding a linn active system with Keltics, best LP12 I have heard to date, more hifi like than flat earth, I feel perhaps another visit would be prudent, as besides our petty differences in hifi, we got on apart from that, I should also have those new speakers soon, and they will be more to your taste than my current ones I feel. Flat accurate and coherent with a nice big woofer. I'll call you, or visit at your place of employment. (during your tea break of course, wouldn't want you to be accused of wasting taxpayers money, NHS beaurocracy does enough of that without it's consultants joining the band wagon, besides at least you are at work, and not swanning about on the golf course or hawking for private patients :D)

Well it is. As the current Lingo is better than the old.

power supply makes very little difference at all, if take away my qc supply and use the basic one on my gyro, under blind listening there is NO difference. i have been down that road to many times aswell i'm affraid.
as i said before the lp12 is just an old design with mdf and pressed steel, they need to redesign the whole thing, i will never have another lp12 as long as i live. if a technics deck can beat it then there is no hope for it i'm affraid.
and yes mine was set up over 3 times by different dealers. out of the 4 ihad what i can remember was the basic plus and k9 to be the best of all
