    I wasnt paying!

Anyway - even a cheap OL deck with ol arm and a kontrapunkt b should beat the top spec linn these days. The linn just sounds too coloured and bloated.

That may well be the case on your Gyro.

The PS most definitely makes a difference on my LP12: the jump from L1 to L2 was very, very noticeable. I am unable to explain *why* this is so, but I am positive that it *is* so. I had some fellow nerdy chums round one night: we swapped my L1 for his L2, and all three of us agreed that there was no need to go back to see if there really was an improvement. Its an easy dem to do if you should have a friendly Linn stockist around - or can get an L1 and L2 to the same LP12.

I have not A/B'd my deck against others - I have heard other decks which impressed me, but I am very, very happy with my Linn ( not perfect - but nothing really is ) and I expect to keep it for the forseeable future.

    Regards

    Mike

Too many to count. Which would be about 12.

That sounds like a small improvement mike - if you cant describe it. A bit like cable changes.

Why do you think that people become loyal to the Linn sound?
