    I am not doubting that you can hear no difference in power supplies on your deck - I accept what you say - but on the Linn I certainly can.

    Depends on mood, time of day, shoe size..

    I have about 1100 LPs and 2-300 singles: my "serious" listening tends to be vinyl - by serious, I mean actually sitting down and doing nothing else ( bar glugging wine like its going out of fashion, of course..)

    have you tried 2 slabs of 40mm granite with a bicycle innertube between them as a support?

    same as me cd on in the day when buzy. vinyl when we are drinking in the evening and relaxing, and just getting involved in the whole record deck thing is a buzz.

    wish i was a millionaire so i could spend half of it on a system.there is a high end dealer here in sweden that has a 150k system in there dem room you should see it speaker cable as thick as an arm and the cd player is made out of 18th century oak,

    i am happy at the moment with what i have, at least it is not harsh or bright. i can't stand a bright sound, gives you a head ache within 10 minutes.

    I think it depends on the quality of your mains. though I'd agree, there was almost no difference 'tween wall-wart and QC. perhaps a placebo effect? I thought I heard tighter bass, but I couldn't say. it certainly wasn't worth £400 to me.

    would like to upgrade to dc though.

    yes mains is an issue. when in england the dino would hum quite noticably ,but when i fired it up here in sweden it totaly dissapeared.

    i have never bought a power supply for ANYTHING and noticed any difference ,including a cyrus 2 many years ago.
