    another thing about the xerxes the armboard sags and destroys the azumith. mine dropped by about 3mm. what on earth was going on there?

    non of that rubbish with the gyro.

    my wife is playing a cd downstairs. god it sounds bad. i wont let her touch the record deck.

    I think there is a hifi shop on ebay selling one for £600 fixed price with the 1307 filter.

    It has a three stage phase locked loop - it is practically immune to transports. The only thing that makes any difference is clock syncing with the PT transport.

    It has the 18 bit filter. they produced, 18,20,22,24, hdcd and 1307. I have the 22 bit. the 24 bit is very rare. 1307 is held by many to be the warmest and most msusical but the 22 bit and 24 bit are more accurate.

    ah sorry miss read it what player? i have a dv868avi

    awesome dvd playback, i still can't believe how good it is, but sacd i'll give a miss.

    Nope a pioneer universal player £200 from hifi confidential. Works a treat. Low jitter due to the sacd and dvd-a requirement and general high audio quality. The dac PLLs it anyway.

    yes with a good dac the transport is largely irrelevent, especially with a ram buffer.

    i think i'll hunt a pink down then, got to improve cd playback somehow. even if it's only just for the wife(who loves music as much as me)

    I cant listen to most cd players. PT is good though. some of the avi players are good as well - go for about £350.
