Good heavens, you two do get along!

And you share opinions guaranteed to annoy some of the forums more established names!

If I didn't know better, I'd think BBV had created someone to chat to!!!!

and we are truly glad that it happens only rarely. Anyway, ZG can be proud, it now has its own stream of consciousness writer. I have to say I prefer Berlin Fritz, at least he counts among the intelligent life on this planet.

At this rate, my days on ZG will soon be over, too.

Actually, I prefer the heavy stuff. You know, where people think before they post something.

    Hi Nick

Just seen this - have you heard a full-on modern spec LP12? Lingo 2, Ekos/Aro, Akiva, Cirkus kit etc?

They sound nothing like the vintage models - even the change from Lingo 1 to Lingo 2 is just vast...

    Regards

    Mike

When I logged on this afternoon, this thread was immediately above the 'You don't believe we're on the eve of destruction?' thread. Having now read these 12 pages, the juxtaposition is striking.

a thought occured to me that starting a a thread slagging of the lp12 whilst a fellow member is trying to sell his is a little out of order( not to mention hifacking the advert itself) especially given the childish depths to which it sunk. or at least the little of it i could be bothered to read that is.

i've an lp12 (lingo2/ittock,circus) - it sounds fine to me. in fact it's a very early one or at least the wooden body is, so to my mind at least part of it is a modern day antique.

mike ,my friend i have had 4 lp12's over the last 20 years, and my last one was a fully loaded one. lingo, ekos, cirkus, trampolin, arkiv, and it was appauling sounding. and before you ask yes it was set up correctly. 3 times i had in rayleihg hifi and then doug brady. it had to go then, then a roksan xerxes, again appauling, my old rega planner walked the pair of them...
then got a gyro dec and now very happy my friend at last.
