no thats the overdue amount I owe based on a reading they apparantly took on the 14th July. The metre is on the outside and I regularly see the guy knocking about looking at them. The fact that they do the bills online and Ive never been told is annoying enough but to go from £38 (which is a large bill for me) to £161 is just a joke. To make it worse, it was a terrible line and I struggled to make out what they were saying. Ive also got an overdue bill for the leccy, again, its done online except I dont know anything about it. I need to take this to governing body or summat, Im not paying that amount.

£161 that's crazy, was the first bill (£38) an estimate? I mean that is along the lines of what our bill was from Feb to May (even I thought that was high for us), we're with BG.
Hope you get this sorted, oh ya and having call centres outside the UK should be illegal, can't understand a word they say, and I expect they can't understand you, what is the point, (oh ya to expolit poor countries and to save them money I forgot).

Even on our gas card (thanks to previous tenants being junkie lowlifes) we pay less than £40 a month even in winter, for a 3 bed house over 3 floors with - get this - NO double glazing!

Powergen are taking the piss - tell them you'll pay them back at a penny a month if they don't come and read your meter immediately. Tossers.

EDIT: agree with Lee - no disrespect to Indian call centres, but if you can't understand them, what's the point? Mind you, they're getting better - although NONE of them seem to understand the phrase "Polsloe Bridge" when you're trying to get train times - he he.

Im getting nowhere with them. In the last month Ive used two units of gas and it doesnt rise that much over winter. They want a reading every day for the next 7 days to see what my usage is. I can see Im not going to get anything out of them here, Ive been stung for a HUGE bill and Im going to have to pay it.
