If I supplied and connected a product and it broke six months later obviously I have to replace it under the 12 month warranty required by law, but would I have to connect the equipment back up or could I make a charge for this?

Can I legaly say that labour is not included in the warranty after three months?

Surely you mean the 2 year guarantee required by European law that supercedes UK law. Many precedents of its application already exist.

Also, in the early stages of business that you're in, and looking for custom, it wouldn't hurt to offer it free. Good customer service and all that jazz....

I will clear it out, I usualy do go out of my way with customer service stuff, must stuff can be sorted out on the phone, but there comes a time when you realise you're running a business not a charity.

If the equipment breaks down you should be able to pass the buck to the manufacture or distributor anyway right? So it is really only your time to install it that you loose out on.
