ive just been looking through german e bay and have noticed that the cd players on there go a lot cheaper than they do on british e bay.
the question is , are the voltages etc the same?

    cheers,

    Rob.

    p.s
ive enquired about shipping and its about 20 euro's for an average weight cd player , not bad eh?

    Yep.
Its been the source for my TEAC P700/D700, TEAC P500/D500 and Wadia 25.

    Always cheaper than the UK.

But, most German sellers don't seem to use PayPal, so you'll have to pay by transferring money directly into their bank account. For that, you'll need their Swift BIC code and their IBAN number.

Most banks charge £15-£20 for such a Swift transfer, so account for that and shipping from Germany in your price.

Shipping from Germany is often cheaper than shipping within the UK. And yes, the general price level for used hi-fi is lower than in the UK.

Another useful resource is www.audio-markt.de. Click on the audio-Markt logo in the left column and you get a search mask. "Filter Produktgruppen" lets you choose by product type (e.g. tuners), "Filter Hersteller" lets you choose by manufacturer.

When you have made your choice, click on the button marked "Suche starten" to start your search.
