Glasgow Show

    Just back - thought it was pretty poor. Was it just me or was there a lack of exhibitors this year? Absolutely nothing that really had that "wow" factor for me.

    I agree. Attendance seemed much better than last year, but nothing really got my attention. A couple of the most interesting rooms from last year - TacT and Ecosse/Audiopax weren't there.

    Maybe it was just me, but many of the rooms seemed to be producing horribly bright noises. JM Labs speakers were quite common and one of the worst offenders, IMHO. The Vertex AQ room was amusing - female staff, offering to take your telephone number - they obviously understand audiophiles well. I fell for it of course, but the demo itself? - (yawn) well I lasted 20 mins of repeated snatches of Roger Waters, ELP and Thomas Dolby (?!*!!?#@!?), and they were just warming up.
