Gninnam's HiFi - Home Built Valve Amps

    My kit is the following:

    Michell Gyrodec with Rega RB250 arm and Goldring Elite MC Cartridge (bought in 1995)
    Audiolab 8000A amp (bought in 1985!!!).
    Quad 12L piano black speakers (bought in 2005).

    Also made some valve amps 12 years ago and have been mothballed since - dragged them out last weekend and one works.
    Connect my iPod to the one the works and one of Quad speakers and a nice sound came out!!!
    Will try to have a look at the other to see why that isn't working.

    Try replacing the coke bottles etc with some proper vacuum tubes.....:D

    It worked when I substituted the valves for the bottles:confused:

    Why on earth do you have Quad 12Ls with a deck like that?
