it occurred to me once that if you took an infinitely long piece of string and cut in in two, you'd have two infinitely long pieces of string, which is a healthy gain out of thin air. I've been trying to turn this into a money making scheme ever since, so far without success.

 

It won't happen. You will need to employ somebody for an infinite number of years while they walk to find the end of the piece of string.
