Might buy latest Nero version if I can't find a good free one - already tried Express Burn but didn't like it and the free version had very limited options. There must be a decent free one out there somewhere.....

    exact audio copy.

with decent cdr's and single speed burning and the right settings you can do bit for bit perfect copies from the first sample to the last.

I think he wants burning software not ripping software though ;)

The only decentish free burning program i think of from the top of my head is CDBurnerXP Pro. However, its not as good as Nero. By all means give it a try though.

FWIW the nero stuff I had on the old comp worked far better than the C*berl*nk stuff on this M*sh.

Don't really know anything about it though.

My local compshop was seemed impressed with the PLextor /neru set up I had on it. That was 3-4 years ago though.

I tried cdburnerxp pro but when I ran it it stated that as I was running either windows 95 or NT that it might not work properly. I'm actually running vista so I wasn't really suprised when it didn't work! Screenshots look good though, so I'm a bit disappointed that it didn't work especially as their site says it should - but to be fair it's still a beta release, and free, and probably works well on xp.

Sod it, I'll stop fannying around and buy Nero, I liked their earlier version.
