Apache's easy to setup, and makes PHP config a doddle (if you're using Windows, check the non-source installer packages on the Apache website). There's a PHP plugin for IIS if you prefer that, but it works better with Apache, frankly, and if you're looking to improve your skills, learning how to configure Apache is no bad thing.

I may try it, its just last time I tried it it I couldn't get it working, I got a Microsoft based one working but I can't remember the name of it. I don't have linux on my PC so it will need to be windows based. Apache for windows should be stable though on win xp.

It took me ten minutes to install Apache on Windows 2000 and have a working Web server complete with working CGI/Perl scripts.
