Got my suit from Moss Bross for £100, it looks fairly decent and it fits well.

I still need shoes, a shirt and a silk tie though.

I've also applied for a job, its not exactly what I want to do but the pay is decent they either want graduates or people with experience, not both which helps me.

I might not get an interview, but its not too bad, I haven't even left university officialy yet.

Its always better to be optimistic rather than all gloomy.

Yep its been a while well Jan 2003 the last one I had, I go the job, the ones before that were (1999-2000) were often quite flakey.

I am just selling any old stuff I can find at the moment and doing leaflets to make some money.

Yep I am going to buy some new shoes this week, some nice old traditional shiny ones.

Just selling bits and bobs I am not really making money, but I have an over draft and I am delivering leaflets. I am hoping to make a bit of money this week as the weather is nice, plus I have a bit of savings as I always put my change from a night out in a tin.

My parents also owe me some money so if I run out completly they will just have to pay it back some how. At least the more leaflets I do the busier my dad is so the quicker I can get paid back :)

Remember it is easier to find employment when you are already in work.

Yep thats why I am applying for any jobs not just the job I want. I am not expecting to walk into a great job.

    Not strictly true.

I was retired in March and decided to return to work.

I was offered 3 jobs within the month.

AT - I graduated in the middle of a recession.

I did voluntary work, and then took a temporary job working in a call centre.

It took me over a year of applying for jobs to get my first one. I applied for about 20 jobs a month, and had about 2 interviews a month for the whole year.

Interviewers were telling me they were getting 800+ applications for each job. I had 'bob hope' of getting a good job, and just eventually got a job working in a shop and worked my way up from there.

I had an HND and a degree in Business Studies, but so did everybody else!

Just keep going mate, remain positive - and the very best piece of advice I can give - is try to get some experience doing the things that the things that the employer wants you to do.. some experience will make you look better than somebody with none!

I'm sure you already know all that, but sometimes its good to hear it again ;)

the most important thing is not to give up and to remain focused, before I went to uni I was at college for quite a few years getting useless diplomas before biting the bullet and going to uni, but ultimately it was my years placement that landed me the job.

You are signing on the rock-n-roll I hope?? Get whatever money you can, you can't claim it later if you need it.

You will pay plenty tax over your lifetime to keep the baby farmers in benefits.

That was late, yeah I did mine a couple of weeks ago it was ok on the tecnical side of things, but for some reason I lost the plot :(.

I asked my tutor a week later how it went and he replied "it was ok presentations are not your strong point".

I am still kicking myself about it now, luckily it was only worth 10% and you pretty much get 5% just for turning up and delivering it.

I am hoping to get to my results in late June but I can't graduate until July the 12th I think or when ever it is. My mums going over the top making into such a big thing its not, i.e as if its a wedding.

I was finishing my dissertation at the time I was meant to apply for the graduation so I missed it :/ Bit annoying really.

They gave us a week after the exams to do it. Ours was 20% of the second semester though, so 2 credits. Possibly worth more as I did a split dissertation, 2 things over 2 terms.

Our final year project was 4 units so thats 40 credits, the presentation being worth 10% of that.

I just really hope I get that 2:1, I am going to be so scared when I have to go into the Newton Building or where ever it is to college my results, normaly I open them straight away but I don't want to this time.

I am not sure about your course but I know for mine the examing board is on the 23rd, so I am hoping to find out soon after that.
