    Why on earth make it look like a piece of tat from the 70's?

    To match my tat of an amp (L31)?

    I quite like the styling of Luxman in general.

    This is the second time you've asked me to give it back. May I remind you that I bought it from you. You didn't give it away;).

    Looks excellent, though I've never been keen on their liking for having little windows on the front displaying tubes.
    Wooden casing is good IMO - something to caress and polish :)

    Looks a little like the new-ish Yamaha amps and CD players. Very clean lines.

    Think of the little tube as a handy built-in reading lamp for CD covers :)
    Full wood wrap is de-rigeur for any self-respecting Japanese amp. Even when it really is Class A ;-)

    That is stunning.
    Only problem is that I'd be out there every day buffing that lovely case and facia. Actually that isn't a problem, more like therapy :)

    Amp = job done

    At least as long as I can keep this behemoth from 1990 running to spec (shouldn't be a problem for at least another 20~30 years according to Luxman)

    That looks stunning, I bet it sounds it too. I just took delivery of my Luxman amp this weekend, bloody hell its good. It does everything really well (inc. MM/MC phono and headphone socket) and all for £1500.00 (2 yrs old). Build quality makes the rest of my UK built kit look home made!!! See pics below -

    The amp looks okay. The CD player looks like a pile of junk. :(

    Tenson - the pic in the first post is a CD player not amp - forgive me if I have missed something here, not all pics show when I view from work.

    Samantha, the picture in the first post is indeed a CDP. Simon is referring to the amp in Joel's later post.

    I wouldn't worry too much in any case. There's no accounting for taste:(.
