i have two fully balanced cdplayer and amplifier.
which is better solution for rejecting ground loop?

    1. connecting two components with XLR cable and just connecting amplifier ground to AC ground of home and disconnecting cdplayer ground from AC ground pin.
    2. connecting amplifier and cdplayer ground to AC ground but using RCA cable(unbalanced) for connecting cdplayer to amplifier

If the two items have a truly balanced configuration then no part of the signal path is connected to mains earth - ergo, there are no 'ground loop' issues to address.

LesW is absolutely correct. Many components claim to be 'balanced' but are not actually completely balanced designs.

Only a balanced cable rejects noise. Using a shielded RCA unbalanced cable simply tries to avoid it.
