Thanks guys. As the cards say - there's only one thing you can do about the ever increasing year count.......LIE THROUGH YOUR TEETH (or at least those that haven't fallen out)!

Anyway - no lie involved....didn't you all know I was counting in base-22 :D

OK - so I've now come clean about being a child of the '50s.

And just in case any bright spark thinks I'm pretty sprightly for 93 - I withdraw the comment above about counting in base 22!

Time for a nice cup of tea, methinks.

Hope you have/had a good day.

Apparently, on this very day in 1911 a certain Gustav Mahler died in Austria. I understand you might be familiar with some of his work? ;)

And (other) notable May 18th-ers are:
    Pope John Paul II
    Kai Winding (jazz trombonist)
    Rick Wakeman
...but we do have to admit to Toyah Willcox too :(

And even Mother Earth celebrated my (real) 21st by blowing her top at Mt St Helens. Now that was a b'day when the earth really did move :D

Fraid I don't do  any more, but am settling in now to some rather nice 100 proof Glenmorangie -
    :mana:
