To save my marriage, Help the neighbours baby sleep, keep my kids from leaving home, prevent the police from issuing me with an A S B O - I need a headphone Amp. I live in a very remote part of the UK, only a 13 hour ferry ride to the mainland - from the Shetland Islands

    - I have no chance to audition any hifi -

I have not a great deal of the green stuff left after Christmas so what should I be looking for - I like a wide, detailed and musical sound - Hate Big Boomy Fog producing Bass. Headphones at the moment are AKG K301 - Quad 33, FM 3 and 405 - computer source Via M-Audio Delta 1010

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Any good with a soldering iron? Look at what is called a CMOY amp.

Best place to get advice on headphones is www.head-fi.org and www.sgheadphones.net I find SG more friendly.

I think you got the wrong thread but yeah. It is a mono or stereo amp. Mono via balanced and stereo via RCA. It does sound very good.
