I would imagine this is probably in the tastes of very few people here but anyway.

I just got 2 new hed kandi albums the main one being 'The mix Summer 2004' its music style for those that dont know is House and for people that art to sure of what that is. Well house is basicly the combination of beats with tradition jazz/soul vocals and instrumental work.

the other one I got was BASE Ibiza 2004 which which is somewhat deeper then the other album i have mentioned.

its well worth the purchase and it isnt mindless beats.

Hi Zoomer! Picked up Beach House 2004 recently. Definately worth a sniff! Forthcoming album from Stonebridge will be good(a few tracks on Disco Kandi's of late from them).I would also recommend Buzzin'Fly Vol. 1 by Ben Watt....superb west coast house if you like that sort of thing. As you say...not mindless beats.

    Cheers...

Ya i've had my eye out for the stonebridge album and will get it soon i'm sure.

on the same sort of style I also got Junior Jack a little while ago which is top album.

I think i'll take a look at Ben Watt though.

I have four or five or their older mixes and they are really cool. Not heard much of their latest stuff.

Zoomer, do they still play at the Honeyclub on the beach?

Hi. House generaly isn't really my thing. And it's a term which seems to be used for quite a few styles, similar to the use of R&B

But, one album I did like was the Chemical Brothers Live at the Social mix. A bit of a random plug I know, but I heard it for the first time in ages yesterday.

"Well house is basicly the combination of beats with tradition jazz/soul vocals and instrumental work."

And going on that definition, it should fit in here.

had a really realyl good listen to this now. been blasting my Ford 6"x4" speakers in my Granada with it from Lincoln to Ipswich lol :p Whats your fave track on the mix? Really really like track 2, disc 1- Funkstar de luxe- When I think of you. T-Jam- Shame shame shame is just plain odd but some really nice gospel ideas with the Hammond and spirtual leader samples :)
