    hi guys
my friend decide to buy a secondhand krell kav250p/250a (pre/power) with 2500$.
    I recommended him McIntosh MA6500 (2500$) and NAD S300 (1600$) for their performance/value.
His speaker will be B&W 803 and he will decide later for chosing cdplayer and cables.
I want to know your idea about his choice (krell)?
Do you recommend a better way for spending his money on amplifier?

Of course your friend has auditioned these like all sensible people do who are spending $2500. So what ever we say won't make any difference.

Let's be honest there are so many ways to spend $2500 on an amplifier or pre/power the list could go on forever. Obvious are Bel Canto, Gryphon, Copland, Arcam, Naim, Quad all of which have champions on here.
