I've been emptying out all the crap from my wallet and on the back of a cash point reciept is scribbled "Matter flicks? - look em up".

I do this quite often, scribble down names of songs/bands/labels to investigate, but nomally at least put some sort of reminder why too.

The reciept is only a couple of MOnths old and I think they're probably an indie type sounding band, but google doesn't seem to want to help. Any ideas?

Its mattafix I think. They were on Jools on friday, its a sort of white guy doing a raggae rap kind of thing. I thought it was quite good even though he was off key all the way through :) Will pick the LP up when I see it. Unless I've got the wrong band :) Single is on the radio alot though I can't remember what its called sorry

Thanks! That'll be them. I didn't catch jools, but guess I must have heard them on the radio or asked someone who was playing it.

I think the tune I heard was passer by. Their website (thanks to the PF thread) www.mattafix.com has several tunes and videos to download.

I've also heard that Big City Life tune too. Didn't realise t'was them.

Not too sure what to make of them. Certainly interesting enough to make me want to hear MOre. Afte rlistening back to Passer By, I remember thinking it reminded me of Blind Mellon "No Rain" for some reason.

    Thanks again!

I'm trying to hold out on buying anything till after xmas now. So if you (or anyone else) pick it up, let me know what you think please.

    MO :)

Mattafix are great and well recorded as well. Its quite chilled out in a few places and reminds me somewhat of Lamb.

I could send you a few MP3s if you like?

EDIT: Ahhh its my 1,000th post! Thats the most I have on any forum!
