    Hi

I ve just discovered that the camera screen onmy nikon 5700 has decided to go psychodelok (sp?)... ie instead of an image you get lots of stripey colours that move around.

The proper image seems to come back on/off......more off than on!

Any one any clues on this 0r any previous experience...?

    cheers

    David

edit the camera is coming up for 4 yeras old

    um...could be knackered..?

are you able to take pics still, and upload them to a pc..?

I'd say maybe a loose connection or something...could take it to a dealer, but without knowing the camera itself, it maybe cheaper just to buy a new one...

yeah, depends on your finances really - are you able to live with the risk of taking pics (via viewfinder?) then uploading them onto your pc..?

    check out this seller -
    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Canon-Outlet

they're canon themselves and sell refurbished stuff...I've used them before and you can, will get a bargain there - they all come with a guarantee...
tho, they haven't much much for sale just now...but you coul.d get yourself a cheap 400D for about 350...

yeah, it seems a bit weird - but if you look in the dslr section of their shop the following cameras are listed in these sections -
    30D
    Photography > Digital Cameras

    400D
    Photography > Film Cameras > 35mm SLR > Canon

which means that if the casual user is browsing the digital camera section - they'll miss out on the 400D as thats advertised in the 35mm film section for some reason!
