Nice amps in their day, available as kits and ready built.
Firmly in the hair shirt and flat earth camp.
    This should help:

To put the prices into context that review is 25 years old.
Stick it on ebay with a £100 reserve. I doubt that many will remember Quantum these days so don't expect anything over £200 for the power amp IMO.

    Sorry, two more questions:D
Whats the score with the volume on it ? It has no volume button

And what are the out put connections called on the back ?

They definatly arent phono and they arent the headphone kind either. They just look like holes

the connectors are probably din's - you can get din to phono converters or leads from a few places (chord do them iirc).

Personally, I'm a HUGE fan of Quantum amplifiers and have a reasonable collection of their products, namely - 4 x 102 preamps, IA100 and IA150 integrateds, ST100 Tuner and 202, 204, 207 and 207DA power amps.

I am currently using the 102/202 combo as my 207DA has developed a hum - most likely the main power supply capacitors as i have already replaced these on the 202 and 204.

To my ears their sound is superb and was better than the Naim NAC12/NAP160 combo i acquired around the same time as my first 102/202. I haven't been able to find out a huge amount about the company apart from the fact they had links to Crimson and the original design brief was to match/beat Naim performance for half the price! :p

Incidentally, if anyone has any of the following Quantum items tucked away in their loft/shed and would like to get rid of them, then drop me a line! -

Active crossover modules for the 207DA power amp (these fit inside it)
    ST150 Tuner
    402 Power Supply
    Moving Coil Preamps
    205 Monoblock Power amps

    :D

I have a few Quantum bits sitting here 102 mm preamp ,the preamp has plug in boards, I have a Supex /Asak board as well.I have a 401 supply for using the 102 without the 202 power amp (which normally supplies the preamp)
