I am trying to remove a Fluid Arm from a J A Michell, Transcriptors Reference Turntable.

I can remove the body of the Arm, however the phono cable is captive and the RCA plugs will not fit through the Arm pillar hole.

Does any body know how to remove the locking/retaining disc under the armboard.

    Hi Ken

Can't advise as have never used the Fluid - looks lovely, though - but have you tried contacting either Michell Engineering or Transcriptors? Michell have the best customer support records of any company I've dealt with so, if it's available, I'm sure they'll be happy to help with the info you need:

    Good luck with it,

    Chris.

    Panic over.

It was just that the engineering was so dam good I could not detect that there was a thread on the locking collar.

    Goomer,

Could not agree more Michell have been fantastic.
